Bread flour 100gYup. I made it twice yesterday. Ain't rising so much. Certainly isn't getting as big as the loaf that Suwabara is holding. Bread's too dense, but it tastes good, so even if I don't figure out how to make it rise better, it's still a yeast bread done in 40 minutes. I mean, if it's 11:00pm and I want a sandwich and we're out of bread, I'd rather have dense bread than no bread.
Milk 75ml
salt-free butter 8g
salt 1g
dry yeast 4g
sugar 9g
black sesame according to taste
Add butter and milk to a microwave-safe bowl, and microwave on high (600 watts) for 30 seconds. If the milk gets too hot, let it cool.
Mix the butter and milk. Then add the salt, sugar, flour (gradually), and yeast. Don't knead the dough. Just mix it.
Cover with parchment paper, and microwave on low (150-200 watts) for 30 seconds.
Move dough to cutting board and divide into four parts. Shape each part into a ball, and cover each quarter with parchment paper and a wet cloth. Leave it there for 10 minutes at room temperature.
Release the gas and roll it back into one ball. Back in the microwave on low again for another 30 seconds.
Press black sesame into the surface of the bread. Cover it again with parchment paper and wet cloth. Leave it for another 10 minutes, and set the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
Bake 10 minutes.
(the anime version doesn't specify salt or sugar amounts, omits yeast entirely, and uses 65g flour instead of 100g)

Japan #3, manga version
For those of you (Sarah) who might want to bake Japan #3 after watching episode 36 but are flustered by Kuroyanagi's abject failure to mention, for example, yeast, here's the manga's version:

Well obviously it's dense. You lack solar hands.
You're damn right I wanted to know that. Thank you, Zack!
I am now of the opinion that Suwabara and everyone in Yakitate is about two feet tall. There's no way that loaf can be that big!
Out of curiosity, ive been lookign all night for it in the manga, but found this too, what chapter is that in the manga?
